My car started smoking, temp gauge went all the way max to hot. Turns out, some damage from the excessive heat had occurred, Whitney explained what was damaged and needed to be replaced. I have been a yourmechanic user since the company's early seed funding days. I have recommended yourmechanic to my family and friends and all of them have received great service. But I have to say that Robert by far is the mechanic i've come across with the best attitude, friendliness, trustworthiness and upfront knowledge on hondas and acuras. Last month he serviced my wife's acura and replaced the starter, however in the process the latch to the hood was somehow broken. We called him directly from a number on an invoice to ask about the issue and he immediately made an appt to come see us and rectify the problem, and never hassled us about fault/blame etc. He also explained how it couldve possibly broke when he was fixing it. While he was here I also asked for his advice on my own vehicle and he had no problem helping me determine what I needed service on. Again I cannot emphasize the importance of his customer service -- which coupled by his experienced understanding of my vehicle's shape -- made me request his calendar and book the appointment right there on the spot. So he came today and I gave him the keys, he got right to work and knew exactly what to do and to tell me the time to come back and check up on him. Was able to spot another area that I needed fixing and he got it done swiftly. The man even offered me a donut in the morning, and when he reparked my car back on the driveway after a test drive he also parked it to the side to allow my neighbors room for their vehicles. He pays attention to the little things -- big deal when trusting your ride to someone.
Roberts like a ninja -- he said he would be here at a certain time so when i returned home i found the car in the exact same position in the same settings, the shade was also put up in the dash too, and from the outside I wondered if he had even showed up. Turns out the guy had slipped in finished the job super quick, made no noise, left no mess in installing my new radiator while providing the inspection reports online. Awesome
I was totally impressed with Trung. He showed up on time and first inspected the brakes to determine the work that needed to be performed. He recommended not to do the back but do the front. He pointed out also potential issues down the line but did not try to sell. His work was outstanding and he even tightened the parking brake without even asking. I had an oil change and tire-rotation service with them, and my experience has been great. The guy, Trung Do, called me a day before to confirm the appointment, and showed up on time. My car also have the problem that the service light (SRS) is on for a while. Trung did a diagnosis on it and explains in detail what he did and what we can do next. Beside oil changes, he also inspected the car, and show me that the rear brakes are almost worn out, and gave me the quote both online and on the premise. I choose not to fix it for now, and he didn't pressure me on it. The great thing about on-site service like yourmachenic.com is that there's 100% transparency, and you know for sure they are working on your car, in a timely manner. I had my service on my drive way in front of my house; it save me a lot of time going back and forth from the auto shop. I used to go to auto shop in the neighbourhood, only 2 miles away, for regular car service, which is already convenient, compared with many others. I also think you should sign up with big companies in bay area to provide on-site oil change service to their employees. He was quite efficient with the work he did on the car. He was very easy to talk to. This car is old, and his suggestions on the issues he noticed were very reasonable. It's good to have a car expert explaining things in detail, a very different experience than taking the car in to a repair shop. I have also begun to like the mobile mechanic concept. You get to set an apptt as per your convenience, and can be at home/office taking care of your own stuff while car is getting the serviced. And there is no aggressive selling for new services.
Great service! I'll use this for the entire family. Erick was running a few minutes late but texted me when he was on the way which I really appreciated. I don't mind that he was a little late because taking my car to the shop is such a hassle. Once Erick arrived he was friendly but got right to work and had the job done quickly. He mentioned a couple of things to think about for the future, basically some upcoming maintenance items I thought might be coming up as my car has 90K miles on it now. Again, great service overall and I really appreciate how friendly Erick was. He even scheduled a follow-up for me in a couple of weeks, without me having to lift a finger.

Originally thought the rear shoes needed replacement turns out the wheel cylniders were leaking, but he had already forecasted that and brought the parts with him.
