Kenneth is HIGHLY recommended - I have always taken my Porsche to the dealer for service and needed a new battery replacement ASAP. None of the national auto service chains would do the installation and the local specialist charged the same as the dealer - so I decided to give YourMechanic a try. Peter....(THIS GUY) Is amazing.... both in the flesh and in spirit.......So my experience and interaction with Pete began about 2 weeks ago....This guy originally got called out to my address in Pasadena CA for a "car down" needing starter replacement service with an emphasis on hurry the - up. ANYHOW Peter was most gracious through my foolishness and came out early to replace my starter however... as Pete arrived...... he explained he couldn't service the car on the street and so we agreed to a later time. As i went to reschedule Pete, and as I looked deeper into my soul.... I realized it MAY NOT BE THE STARTER ..... SO I REBOOKED Pete, to come out and diagnose... the car.... yes... diag nose.... the car.... SO pete... Shows up and tells me its the Alternator....and works up the bill and coordinates the new time.... We reschedule and Pete installed that thing like NOTHING,.......LIKE F------G NOTHING!!!!! He IS an expert and I have so much to learn... not only about mechanics and internal combustion engines....but about tools and most importantly.... about PEOPLE..... Thank you Peter... Peter did an excellent job. My 2000 Toyota Camry has had an ABS warning light for several months and the solution suggested by Pep Boys (after doing a $500 rotor/pad job) was to have Toyota dealer install a new ABS controller which is a $2000 job. Peter performed a difficult (because of the age of the car) diagnostic procedure which confirmed that the ABS controller needed to be replaced but then guided me on getting a used unit from Ebay for $40 and then spend $100 for a mechanic to do an easy installation. I think the basic premise of YourMechanic of sending a mechanic to your home is a very good idea especially for people who are very busy and value the time to take their car to a repair garage. I see very polarized reviews on the web site - either very good or very poor. Some of the complaints are about the mechanic and some are about the administration. In my younger days I worked as a garage mechanic and know there ares some cased where the mechanics is blamed for problems that he/she has no fault with - just unfortunate circumstances. Bottom line, Peter Izaquirre knows his business and was a pleasure to deal with.

Dennis was friendly, professional and on time! He took some information on my car and told me he would come an get me when he was done. He was completely finished in a little less than 30 minutes, removing the old cv front axle and replacing it. Everything was clean and neat with nothing left undone. Amazing. I wanted to call all of my friends to tell them about my experience. I didn't have to drive around to different shops to get it done and once they had my car apart, tell me it would be two days before they could get the part. He showed up with the part and did it.
