John showed up even earlier than the appointment time, which is always a good thing. He was courteous, professional, and unlike a lot of younger "specialized" mechanics, has a vast knowledge of all automobiles--old and new. As a fellow old-schooler, I can appreciate his experience and expertise in handling situations, even when Murphy's Law--what can go wrong will go wrong--comes into play. I've known younger mechanics who, if something doesn't go "as the manual describes," can't use critical thinking skills to tackle a dilemma. Given that this work was performed in the field instead of a fully equipped repair shop and that the job was done with diligence and excellence, I'd trust his work more than any "millennial" who can only go by the book. Of course, there are certain limitations to what can be done on site. For this, I'd typically give an 8 of 10 likelihood to recommend him to a friend or colleague. But, if the job is within his scope of practice and the requisite tools are accessible, I'd definitely recommend him as a "10" for the appropriate repairs. I believe that yourmechanic.com would not send him (or any other mechanic) to a job for which he is not properly equipped, so that should never be an issue.

Rodney arrived a few minutes early and completed my changed out my front brake pads in a timely manner. He was nice enough to let me watch and learn how to change brake pads. I would recommend him for any auto work.

Johnny was simply incredible! He arrived on time, he was very friendly and knowledgeable and it took him 30 minutes to replace my starter. Get the job done faster than other mechanic in replacing my Alternator. Other mechanic here at “YourMechanic” said it take 3 hours and readjusted/increasd my price by $120 (didn’t know they can do that after my service is already booked and paid for). Canceled that and rebooked and discovered Anthony. Anthony is my mechanic of choice here.
