Mechanic's Assistant: Just to clarify, what's the exact code? And have you tried to reset it?
I have tried to reset it several times as per instructions on several websites with no success. I took it to the dealer who said the motor needs to be replaced.
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Highlander yourself? What have you tried so far?
Nothing other than read several articles. I have the motor and the tools to remove the panels.

I'll assume power since your saying motor, so i will also assume it's not the latch or cinch but the actual motor that powers the door.
that being the case, the motor is the majority of the cost (about $1400 from the dealer new) the labor is fairly inexpensive. It pays 1 hour to replace is all, which runs about $150

if you want to replace it yourself, I can certainly provide step-by-step instructions.
otherwise you can call -(###) ###-####in the morning after 8am and schedule a tech to come out and do it. Make them aware you have the part and are only needing it installed.

it's medium difficulty i guess, just taking apart the interior.
I would send you step by step instructions. No necessarily coach you through it.
Still not sure what you need?

Hi, it sounds like you may have something worn out in the front end. It could be a ball joint control arm, or tie-rod end. If it was the steering box (rack and pinion) you may have a lot of...

It does sound like the battery is due for replacement (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-replacement). Slow cranking and dimming lights are a telltale sign. I highly doubt it is the starter or the alternator, especially since your vehicle has such low mileage. However, a...
