Q: No oil pressue 2008 tahoe new oil pump

asked by on November 26, 2017

Lost oil pressure. We changed the oil pump and still have no pressure.

If the engine is not noisey then you may have a bad oil sender and clogged screen under sender and need to remove it and replace or clean it and replace sender. If you check pressure manually at the sender port after screen is removed and pressure is above 6psi at idle and goes up when rpms go up then pressure is okay and other repairs noted needs done.
