Just tried to jump the battery but not 100% sure it was connected properly. Before starting the jump got no noise after a few jumps its clicked but still didn't turn over. Maybe was on for 2 mind though
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi! My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I will be able to assist you. I’m sorry that you’re having trouble with your vehicle. Don’t worry though, we’ll be able to figure this out.
Please understand that I do not know your knowledge or capabilities so I **may** need to ask questions to find out basic information to help solve your specific problem.
Sometimes it may take a moment for me to respond because I may have to look up information about your concern. I appreciate your patience and will provide responses as soon as possible.
IF the cables were connected backwards then you will have blown some fuses. You'll need to check the 120 amp fusible link in the under hood fuse box. That is most likely the problem. You will need to check ALL of the fuses though because there may be some other blown fuses.
My goal is to earn a 5 star rating experience. I hope that I have given you the information you needed. If you have any further questions about this concern, please feel free to reply back to me. If I’m not online at the time, I will respond ASAP when I get back. Thanks for being awesome and thank you for using JustAnswer!

If the battery is low (which it sounds like it is) then yes you will have to either jump it or recharge/replace the battery to get it to start.

Ok. So think it was originally the battery but because of the little accidentally putting on wrong charger and causing some sparks and a little bit of rubber on fire that burn out the fuseDo you think its better to replace the battery all together since we did spark it

You would have to test it to see if it's bad. I would have it recharged and tested before you replace it.

Ok ok. But since the cable were on wrong most likely blew a fuse too? It did click when we tried to start it after we charged it correctly but I think it wasn't in long enough to fully turn over. Everything was on though. Radio, lights, the dash symbols

Yes the fuse is going to be blown since the cables were not connected properly. You will have to replace the fuse(s) and recharge/test the battery to get it going again.

Ok thx. It sounded like a battery issue but my partner thought maybe [alternator](/topics-alternator-hyundai/) too but then nothing would be on correct?

The alternator would have to be tested when you have replaced the fuses and have the battery sorted out because the engine has to be running to test it. I don't think you have an alternator issue unless you were seeing a battery/charging light on before this happened. I think it's just a battery issue.
