Hi there, Sorry to hear about all your car troubles. My Name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I am an ASE Master Tech here to assist you with your vehicle. Please understand I am not there with you, But I am here to help. Any information about what is going on is greatly appreciated. The system will ask for a phone call, Please let me know if you want this option as I am not always available to do so. Be aware that I am assisting many customers at the same time and will get back to you as quickly as I can but I cannot get answers immediately as I am not a computer. I like to research each answer before I get back to you to ensure that I give out the correct info. Thank you for understanding.
For this type of issue you will want to do a fault code scan to see what codes the vehicle is giving us. Without this the only thing we can do is a hard reset. This is done by disconnecting the battery and letting the vehicle sit for 30 minutes. Then after this time has elapsed you will reconnect your battery and retest the system.
If the limp mode is still present then this would indicate a hard fault. You will then need to get these codes to move forward and see why the computer is telling the [engine](/topics-engine-chevy/) to go into limp mode. You will need an obd2 code reader to do this. Most auto parts sell this and will do this service for free, but you will need to get the vehicle there to do so.

For this you can first attempt to do the hard reset but if still present we will need fault codes to continue.

Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.

Hello there, thank you for asking about your 2003 BMW 760Li. Spark knock, or pinging, can result from excessive carbon build up. There is a technical service bulletin (TSB) regarding this condition for your vehicle: SI B 11 11 06....
Most of the time, bad smells indicate leaks. Oil, coolant, or brake fluid can leak onto hot surfaces and cause some really potent eye burning type smells. But in your case, I'm suspicious of the brakes. If you have a...
The power steering pump and the alternator which charges the battery are driven off of the same serpentine belt. Therefore, the first thing to check is the condition of that belt and whether belt tension is adequate. If there is...
Hi there. With the problems that you have mentioned, this could be an expensive fix, depending on what is wrong with the clicking sound and what is wrong with the transmission. The clicking sound is more of a CV Shaft...

Hi Phil. Thanks for contacting us tonight. Unfortunately, with today's modern technology including ECU's and tight engine compartment - swapping different size engines is virtually impossible without some major fabrication. Plus, any different engine combination would require a new transmission,...
