What does the Side Air Bag Off warning light mean?
The Side Air Bag Off warning light is located on the instrument panel. When the light illuminates, the passenger side air bag is temporarily deactivated. The passenger side air bag turns off when the front passenger seat is not occupied, or when the passenger is not sitting in a safe position. Tip Like all warning lights, the Side Air Bag Off warning light briefly illuminates when the car is turned on. The light is only a problem if it stays lit when the engine is turned on.
