Hi, my name is\*\*\*\*\* to justanswer. I will be assisting you with your question today.
I am sorry that you are having issues with your vehicle and will do my best to help you out.
Is there a "check engine" light illuminated on the dash?
**\*As far as phone calls, If you didn't request it, it is most likely the Website prompting you, not me. A Live Call is a "Premium Service" and will cost more money. I prefer communicating via this site, but in some cases a phone call may be recommended.\*\***

Okay, the most come failure, believe it or not is the brake light switch. When the switch goes bad, it affects the gas pedal operation.

If you have a scan tool that can read output controls, then you can monitor voltage from zero throttle to wide open.

Well, we would need to figure out wiring circuits and use a volt/ohm meter to check power, ground and ohms when operating the pedal.

Thank you for using justanswer.
Still not sure what you need?
Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
The power outlets can be used to charge electronic devices or plug in any accessory with a 12 V if it runs on less than 10 amps. One power outlet is located on the center display in the auxiliary box....
Generally, such collision repairs are performed by body shops but any certified mechanic will be able to inspect the front suspension (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/brakes-steering-and-suspension-inspection) to find anything that has shifted with the accident. Any of the suspension components could be bent or...
Hello! One general giveaway of a bad CV axle is a clicking sound when turning. CV axles are vital to the stability of the vehicle and they transfer the power to the wheels to make them turn. Noisy CV axles...
The transmissions in older vehicles have a cable hooked to the transmission and the throttle and when you stepped down on the throttle, you manually moved a valve in the transmission and the downshift happened pretty quickly. Now, the computerized...
This vehicle is equipped with a cabin air filter (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-cabin-air-filter) that filters the air coming into passenger compartment. The filter blocks debris, and in time restricts the air flow. It requires replacement at least once a year. Another possibly could...
It sounds like you may have a failing relay or fuse block, either of which could stop certain components from being powered up, which may keep it from starting. It's also possible that even though the ignition switch and key...
Unfortunately, without additional detail as to the codes showing up, there is no way to diagnose what the issues may be. The alternator may be functioning intermittently without having a dramatic impact on the charging system for example. I would...
Hello and thank you for your question. Sounds like a couple things are wrong with your car. First there is a crossed wire with the spark plug wires (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ignition-cable-spark-plug-wires-replacement). If only two wires are crossed, then the vehicle will run...
Hi - by "won't shift into the highest gear", I interpret this to mean the lock-up of the torque converter, which effectively is another gear (eliminates any slip through the torque converter). Your symptoms suggest that the transmission is not...
