No there’s no damage to the key, I was real careful not to the bent the key. I have no other key.

Ok then if there is no issue with the key the problem is going to be with either the drivers door lock cylinder a tumbler can be sticking and causing this or there is an issue with one of the rods going to the door latch itself.
