My 2004 Toyota [Camry](/topics-camry/) has about 280,000 miles on it. I recently was running low on oil but it was not quite do for an oil change. so I put in a couple quarts of oil and some [engine](/topics-engine-toyota/) cleaner In it thinking that by the time the engine cleaner circulated it would B time for an oil change. I have never used the engine cleaner before. After a few days and maintenance light came on. The car stalled a few times while sitting at a light. And then today while I was driving it it made one loud pop. What should I be watching for?
Mechanic's Assistant: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on?
I'm guessing the engine. The loud pop is only happened this time
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Camry yourself? What have you tried so far?
Nothing it just happened

Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* thank you for using just answer. The site will prompt a phone call, but that is not always necessary. If it is necessary later in the conversation, I will propose it. I am sorry you are having this concern, but I will do my best to assist you.
Does the engine run currently? Engine cleaner is meant for a quick use, not to be left in the engine.

Ok. If the "pop" is not currently, happening, that will be hard to assist on. However, if the "service engine soon" lamp is on, we will need to know what fault codes are causing it to illuminate. Most parts stores will pull the fault codes for free. Hope this helps, thank you.

Hi there. The code you are getting is for a knock sensor problem. Most of the time, if the engine is running good, this is due to a bad connector on the sensor or the sensor itself. I would typically...
Over time the rubber parts in the braking system will start to leak due to age. If the brake line is leaking then it needs to be replaced. Keep in mind that brake lines should be replaced (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/brake-line-replacement) in pairs....
Hello. I suspect that the motor mounts are the cause of this rattle. Motor mounts are designed to dampen engine movement and vibrational rattles. The dealer recommends inspecting the motor mounts at 60,000 miles and every 20,000 miles after that....
Since you did all this work then you should be able to check the fuel pressure and engine for spark getting to the spark plugs. If you have spark and fuel pressure, then you will need to check the fuel...
If the rest of the vehicle is staying powered up as well (radio, lights, etc.), then there may be a problem with the ignition switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ignition-switch-replacement). Otherwise, there may be a shorted circuit allowing the fuel pump and ignition system...
This is a common sign of a major vacuum leak. This can be very difficult to trace as there are many places a vacuum leak can emit from. I would recommend having an expert from Your Mechanic come to your...
To determine what exactly has failed, it will be necessary to remove the inner door panel and look to see what part(s) have actually failed. The most common failures, when an outer door handle quits working (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/door-will-not-open-inspection), is a broken...
Hello. It appears that the only sort of throttle related calibration procedure that can be done may be for the pedal. As the pedal and throttle body work together this could possibly be a solution to the issue. To reset...
If the starter motor turns, but the starter pinion drive gear is not engaging the flywheel and turning the engine, there is a fault with the pinion drive gear and/or the actuating solenoid. The power to the solenoid can be...
