Hello, I'm Tyson with just answer I’m sorry you’re having trouble. I can assist you today. There may be a slight delay due to site and **ignore the just answer call pop ups** they have can be confusing and are site generated, if we get to a point we need the live call we can but most prefer to use the site.
If battery is completely dead sometimes if they cables when jumping don't have a strong connection it won't completely crank, i would pull the battery take it to autozone to be tested first.(they don't charge for testing)

I tested the battery, its brand new and fully charged. Could a loose negative cause the engine not to crank. I tightened the screw fully but when I pull on the cable to see if it's right it still moves around the battery post

Yes, most certainly, it sounds like that cable may need replaced it should be tight

Would that cause no crank and alarm wont go off?

Yes, if cables loose it can effect alot of things, i wouldn't consider anything else until that is tight or replaced, there cannot be loose wires to the battery.

I have had to take the battery in and out a lot over the last two weeks because my battery was bad, so maybe that effected the cable. Becausesmy battery was dying overnight but after I charged it the car would work. Until one day I drove it, parked it and then tried to drive it a minute later and no crank. Does that sound like a loose cable?

It sounds like the alternator is not properly charging the battery. i'm not saying the loose cable is a be all end all but if not repaired it will cause other problems in the electrical system.

Would a bad alternator not allow the car to start with a brand new battery but keep the lights and dash operating?

No but if the alternator isn't charging it would allow it to get to weak to start. Now with a new battery and a loose cable i would think you're only getting about a third of the power from the battery allowing less power hungry items to work.

3 days ago the alarm was triggered and then went off on it's own, now my alarm cant be triggered. Can this be related?

It can be. You could have a bad ECM but i really don't want to go into stuff that could get expensive until the known problem is fixed. But if that cable if fixed and all these issues are still occuring a new battery i'd look at ECM.

Okay. I'll try to replace the loose connection on the battery and start from there

Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
I think you mean that the tachometer (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/3-essential-things-to-know-about-your-car-s-tachometer) is going up and down, not the speedometer. If the tachometer is going up and down and then the engine stalls, it's an indication that the engine has a major vacuum leak...
Hi there. It would appear there is a combination of problems happening with your vehicle. First, the transmission fluid and engine oil leak(s) (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/oil-fluid-leak-inspection) need to be addressed. The fluid loss may account for the burning smell (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/smell-of-oil-in-car-inspection). The Check...

Hi there. Aftermarket alarm systems can create problems, typically from poor installations. The vehicle's wiring harness is usually tapped into and removal of the alarm system is more than just pulling a fuse. Most aftermarket alarm systems are installed under...

Hello, thank you for writing in. The black oil is definitely a problem. The dirty oil is not able to lubricate and guide the components which it is responsible for. This does not typically cause the engine to stall but...
