My car started making a ticking noise then a few miles later died tried to crank an it was like the battery was dead. Took battery to be test it was fine so I replaced the alternator charged the battery an when I tried to crank it, it cranked up for motor was rough, the misfired an shut off. Help

Ok, I think then what you are going to need to do is check the car for possible codes. You will need to rent or borrow a code reader to do this. It will have codes stored even if it's not running. Unless you can tell where the tapping sound is coming from. It's possible it needs some new spark plugs, but I would suggest looking at the codes first if you can.
