So this kind of sounds like a clutch issue to me. Something may be binding up. I suggest air checking the clutches and listen for a nice firm application of each clutch. Going in and out of overdrive will likely be a seal or clutch issue. Either the OD clutch pack is not assembled correctly or a seal is leaking and not allowing the clutch to properly apply. IT will need to come apart to be checked. Hope this helps.

What seal might cause this? I've done filter and fluid changes myself but haven't been able to take off the old filter seal. Could a worn out filter seal cause this? Also I'm mechanically inclined than most. I've changed the valve body as well with a rebuild valve body. I do remember my abs light being on for a while but now it's off. I haven't checked the break switch because my break lights work fine and are not stuck. But I am able to shift from park without pressing the break.I forgot to mention my transmission did over heat a little but I noticed it quick and pulled to the side. I looked under and noticed transmission fluid came out of the vent hoseEvery gear shifts fine except 1-2 delayed and overdrive comes in and out

There are seals inside the trans that seal the clutch pack so when fluid is applied it can hold pressure and apply the clutch. If they leak the clutch wont apply properly. And yes the filter seal can cause issues. I would start with that if it is bad. A line pressure check with gauges wouldn't hurt.
Coming out of the vent would indicate it ran really hot or was overfull.

I will be doing a fluid and filter change and see if I can pry out the old seal and install the new one with the filter. Yes it did run really hot as my [radiator](/topics-radiator-chevy/) was low on fluid as well but my [engine](/topics-engine-chevy/) didn't over heat. I will be checking closely this weekend to see if I see any other leaks around the transmission

Yea try that first. Maybe it will be an easy fix. Look in the pan for debris, that will indicate a clutch issue.

I will check it out and also install a new harness. Could it also be a bad pressure control switch?

I with what you are describing. A good scan tool could read some data and trouble codes that may tell you more.

My scan tool was able to connect but now it won't. I'll be checking the fuses for the lighter ports as it runs from them.Thank you Jason and can I contact you again in the future or have to go through the website first?
