I have an awd audi 2003 a6 allroad. The air [suspension](/topics-suspension-audi/) in the front stopped working when it got cold but the dash reads its at level 1 when driving it started to vibrate on acceleration and if failed when going around a u turn left when I gave it power to rejoin traffic. Now it won't go into any gears and when putting into park it makes a grinding noise. Is this a transmission problem or cv drive axel problem?
Mechanic's Assistant: How old is the clutch? Has the clutch or its cables ever been replaced?
It's an automatic
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your A6 yourself? What have you tried so far?
I would do it myself if it was the drive axel but if it is transmission I will have to have it done at a shop
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
Basically I am trying to figure out the likelihood that the problem is caused by the front drive axels before I pay to have it towed to a shop

Hi the car is parked outside but the snow is too much to check it at the moment. Would it be okay to contact you when the weather clears enough to make it less of a hassle to get under it?
