Q: 2007 Pontiac Torrent door not opening from inside

There are a couple of possibilites here. One is that the handle on the inside is broken, this is also the most likely issue. Another is that the linkage from the handle to the latch has failed. This could be as simple as replacing a tiny plastic clip that holds the linkage to the handle and latch. The only way to know for sure is to remove the door panel and examine the components. This is a very tedious task and there are a couple of hidden screws securing the panel to the door. With this said, a well trained technician can remove the panel and diagnose why exactly your door will not open.
