What is the Windshield Wiper Blade all about?

A windshield wiper consists of a pivoting arm with a long rubber blade. Powered by the wiper motor, the blade swings back and forth over the glass windshield, clearing debris and enhancing visibility. Wiper blades are made of rubber and as such, the sun and other elements cause damage that prevents the blades from doing their job.

Keep in mind:

Oil or wax build up on the windshield will not be removed by the windshield wipers.

How it's done:

  • Remove and replace wiper blade(s)

Our recommendation:

Have your wiper blades inspected and changed every year. The best time for this is right after summer, before the rainy season arrives.

What common symptoms indicate you may need to replace the Windshield Wiper Blade?

  • Streaking of windshield.
  • Screechy or scraping sound when blades are operating.

How important is this service?

Your windshield wipers are responsible for giving you visibility out of your windshield. When you pull the lever on your steering column, the rubber windshield wiper blades run across your windshield, and wipe away any water or debris that has accumulated on the glass.

When your windshield wiper blades break or die, the wipers won’t be able to clean away your windshield. If you are driving in the rain, your vehicle will have no way of getting the water off of the windshield, and you will have next to no visibility, which makes driving very dangerous.

Grzegorz Kilon arrived 35 minutes late. When he arrived, he did not have the filter. He came back 10:35 AM from the supposedly 9 AM appointment. Would have avoided the delay if he had it in the beginning. Also, PENZOIL was indicated that was used in receipt. He used an O'Reilly brand oil.
