I had my friend used my car and he accidentally had put diesel instead of gas without realizing it causing a "crank no start" issue in the car. After having it checked by 2 more mechanics, only Michael was able to quickly & rightly diagnose the problem stating it's the wrong fuel type. Michael's engagement with me was a scheduled fuel pump replacement, which was recommended by the first YourMechanic tech. As per the first tech diagnostic report, the fuel pump is faulty giving low pressure causing a crank no start issue. I was skeptical about low-pressure diagnostic considering the fuel pump was very new and I had pressure tested it myself. But I still went with scheduling the replacement service with YourMechanic based on the first tech's claim stating if this will not fix the problem, YourMechanic will not charge me for parts and labor for this service (which I learnt later was bogus promise) Thank God, I trusted my instinct and asked Michael to double check the pressure before proceeding with replacement. He confirmed too the pump was giving correct pressure, suggesting there is something else going on. Michael then changed my appointment type to another diagnostic service, performed the diagnostic and rightly identified the cause. He is very thorough with the service, took snapshots, recordings and proper documentation of the job. On separate note, I learnt my lesson with YourMechanic, getting any refund or warranty cover from them is not easy. I ended up paying twice for diagnostic, since they refuse to refund me the first mis-diagnostic charge, stating they don't have any guarantee policy on diagnostic service. I can't imagine the nightmare, if I had paid for fuel pump service and trying to get that money back. Long story short, I highly recommend Michael but not YourMechanic.

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

Very impressed with the quality of work. Ned was on time and on budget. There were no surprise extra costs. Ned even helped me out with my other car, even though I didn't have an appointment for the other car. He took care of all of my car problems and he even found me a coupon for an oil change. I will be using this service again.

Tim was great; offered advice instead of just blindly fixing. Also Tim was super friendly and very genuine. Highly recommend!

Yourmechanic.com is a woman's prayered answered. My stress was zero. I didn't have to drop off the car and wait for an outrageous quote from the corner mechanic. I was able to schedule and know the price immediately. I will use yourmechanic.com from now on. If you are in the Las Vegas area. I recommend requesting Scott Franklin. He goes above and beyond customer service.
