Marcus was great. Arrived early to the appointment and kept me informed the entire time.
David is very friendly and really seems to want to do a great job. Unfortunately, he did not have the necessary information and/or tools at his disposal to perform a sufficient inspection of the problem in this case. Since the initial performance, the replacement of the Brake booster and master cylinder, I was left with a brake warning light, intermittent brake issues, and poor brake performance (symptoms came on and grew slowly after bleeding so it was not apparent immediately). (After R&R of the master cylinder, I discovered the problem to be a missing seal for the back on the YourMechanic installed master cylinder). YourMechanic should consider providing their mechanics access to the Manufacturer Repair manuals and to a DRB tool. With inexpensive Bluetooth and USB OBD2 readers and networked mobile devices I would think the company could do so without too much additional overhead cost. In short, I really wanted this service to work out, but it didn't because the technical support and the warranty process is too immature. On the positive side, I did learn a few things from David, and as a result I will likely never need help with brake issues again and I appreciate it. And everyone makes mistakes, no problem about that, but when there are legitimate issues the mechanic and the company need to be better about following through and fixing them.
