when i go to pump the gas the pump gets triggered to stop pumpin before the tank is full. it does it no matter how far i have the nossle in. what could be causin this?

Hi Sparrow. Thanks for the follow-up question. When a gas pump shuts off sooner than it should, it’s due to one of two possible issues. Either the pump is damaged, or there is an issue with the fuel tank - either the fill neck is damaged, or one of the EVAP system components is causing excessive pressure inside the fuel tank, and triggering the pump to shut off.
