Good Afternoon, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* ill be helping you, so sorry to hear about the issues here on the Tiguan. I know how frustrating it can be to deal with warning lights coming on. Have we been able to verify what codes are setting with the CEL and EPC light? also does the vehicle show any symptoms when driving or running?

i have i will send a pic of the codes. And the car sometimes hesitates to accelerate and i cant go above 55 mph. It was misfiring, but after i replaced maf yesterday. It hasnt mifired since.

quite a bit of codes here. they all seem to be related to the faulty MAF sensor. have we been able to clear the codes using a scan tool to verify the repair and see which ones come back? i dont see any issue related to the throttle body and with it no longer misfiring i would recommend we go ahead and clear the codes to see if we can get out of limp mode and if any of these issues come back.

Okay i havent cleared any of the codes from before i replaced the maf. I have a buddy with a obd scanner coming to help me reset the codes later today. Ill update this thread after i clear them

Okay so we cleared the codes and then started the car and it started sputtering and misfiring again

ah okay if its misfiring with the new MAF sensor we would need to begin to start diagnosing this as a regular misfire. replace all plugs and verify that the ignition coils and fuel injectors are firing. if that checks out you can test compression next.
