Hello, thank you for writing in. There are both ways to lower the volume and turn off the audible alert that sounds when you lock and unlock the car. They both have their own procedure that is available in the repair manual for the vehicle. Your local dealership or knowledgeable technician would also have the programming information for your specific model. On most models: 1. you must open the driver’s door, insert and remove the key. Wait 5 seconds. 2. Insert the key, turn to the on position. Wait 10 seconds. 3. Press the lock and unlock button simultaneously, twice.

The system should be turned off. It should also not effect your alarm system. The exact procedure may vary from these steps, and your owners manual may have more information. For help resetting the system, contact our service department to schedule an appointment.

Opinion about Audi
To me, they are over-engineered, gigantic money pits. They cost a fortune to fix as they age. That's the truth. If you really like Audi's (https://www.yourmechanic.com/scheduled-maintenance/audi-a4-quattro/) and want to buy one, then I would opt to lease it (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/are-car-lease-prices-negotiable). Hello. From what you are explaining, it sounds like this is the issue. The exhaust leak will need to be located and repaired before further testing....
Clicking in motor. Losing power and cutting off while driving. Any ideas?
Hi there. In many cases, a clicking or ticking sound is caused either by a damaged serpentine belt (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/serpentine-drive-belt-replacement) or can be caused by the valves or cylinder head hardware that is not properly lubricated. The fact you're losing power...
Can I still drive my car with a partially shredded serpentine belt?
Hi there. I would not drive the vehicle if I were you until you have the serpentine belt replaced (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-replace-a-serpentine-belt-by-mia-bevacqua). If it's partially torn, it will continue to shred and may cause additional damage to the pulleys or other components...

Check Engine Light was on with a gas smell. I took it to the dealer.
I would ask what codes they found and how they determined the fuel pump was the cause. They likely diagnosed the pump by measuring fuel pressure. You didn't say what kind of Hyundai you have, but generally, fuel pressure should...

My 2006 Hyundai Tucson 2.7l 4wd is not selecting gear when in drive , it moves but won't change to d next gear for smooth run
Hi there. In most cases, when you have this type of shifting problem, it's due to old transmission fluid inside the hydraulic lines of the transmission. It could also be due to inner transmission seals being damaged or an inner...
