**this could be coming from the valve cover gasket, the crankshaft front main seal, the cam seals, the [oil filter](/topics-oil-filter-toyota/), the oil filter housing adapter, the oil pane gasket, etc... you need to clean the [engine](/topics-engine-toyota/) compartment thoroughly and then start the engine, and watch to see where its coming from.**

definitely from the valve cover gasket, also, remove the orange dipstick and see where the level is. also remove the [air filter](/topics-air-filter-toyota/) box to see if the filter is saturated with oil
Customer

The level is full. I will check the air filter in just a moment

full to the full mark or over full?
Customer
Full mark. Sorry for the confusionI recently got my oil changed. Is there a possibility something happened then that caused this? Or is this an entirely separate issue

Automotive Expert
they could have not tightened the oil filter down all the way or tightened the drain plug on the bottom of the pan
Customer
Would the leaking and spraying resemble a loose oil filter/drain plug? Or is that more likely caused by the valve cover
david craig
Automotive Expert
the spraying would be more related to something being loose
Customer
Not sure if this helps but there is no spraying on the left side of the car. Also, some of the splatters were on top of the VVT-i towards the right. Does this sound more like something loose or the valve cover?

I don't have an oil light on my dash. Is it still possible that the oil pressure switch is the issue?

it looks like something is being blown back from the fan
Customer

Could it be leaking from the valve cover and then blowing upward from the fan?

its a connector for one of your coils. you need to replace it with a pigtail. see attached pic

There's no way to replace the cap itself rather then rewiring the entire piece?Like these?
