So yesterday I got my throttle body replaced, all was fine up until today. When I start my car my engine idles at 3,000 rpm. And then if I hit my brakes, my rpm will jump up before slowing down
My car has 102000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
Hey Brandon. Thanks for sending in the question yesterday. There are two reasons why this tends to happen after replacing a throttle body. Either there is a vacuum line that has come loose (which is rather common), or the idle control valve is either faulty or not correctly programmed (in conjunction with the throttle body). I would recommend contacting the mechanic who completed this service to ask them to resolve the issue sooner rather than later.
