If the AC is only blowing hot air then most of the time it is because the AC compressor is not turning on. The compressor will not turn on for a number of reasons, but the most common is low refrigerant. If the refrigerant is low then the pressure switches will keep the system from working. I typically start by checking the pressure in the system with a pressure gauge set. If the system is empty then there is a large leak that must be found. If the system is low I would add some refrigerant to see if it helps. If the pressure is good then an electrical diagnosis will need to be done of the control system.
