Mechanic's Assistant: How old is the transmission? Have you noticed any leaking?
There was no leaking. it's the original transmission with 70,000 miles
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Sentra yourself? What have you tried so far?
I will try to fix it myself. I topped off [coolant](/topics-coolant-nissan/) (with it being winter), checked the battery terminals, unhooked the battery,

Okay good.
The AEB malfunction for many Nissans due to a bad collision sensor.
This sensor would cause the vehicle not moved like what you're experiencing.
Currently, there is a class action lawsuit going on regarding this problem.

where is the sensor located at in the car? I have been talking to a couple mechanic friends, and they believe it to be a sensor.

I would advise visiting the dealer on this. Apparently, this problem is across the board for Nissans.
Make sure the front grille and bumper is clean from obstruction.
