HI Eddy, it's nice to meet you.
It sounds like a possible issue with the VDC itself. Sometimes the check engine light will trigger the VDC and traction control lights to come on. When that happens, it can put the truck in fail safe mode. Getting the code checked is the best place to start so I can provide a more detailed answer. It's possible it's a speed sensor that's being triggered and causing the truck to go into failsafe.
Let me know the codes and we can go from there.

Ok
I would say post them here in the morning. It sounds to me like the trucks VDC thought it was sliding and that caused the power loss. This can be caused by a bad wheel speed sensor, steering angle sensor or the yaw rate sensor. Of course the computer can fail as well, so this will give us an idea of which one is causing the issue and we can do some checks from there.

Good morning Eddy.
These all point to a problem with the throttle body on the truck. Is the truck currently driving normally?

Ok, This could just be a glitch in the throttle body electrics, I think you should clear the codes and if the issue returns then deal with it. This is because since it's operating normally now, there's not any testing that's going to show a problem if that makes sense.
