Mechanic's Assistant: How old are the tires? And have they been a problem in the past?
They are a year okd and maybe 8 thousand miles. No they never have but this is the first time ive used this new brand/set
Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your car?
2010 Mitsubishi Evolution GSR
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Yes i plan to if possible. Ive only tried locking my steering and i have heard no clicks or clunks.
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
I have this thought that maybe this was caused due to driving through a train crossing where it might have been to hard of a bump, and my car is lowered if that helps..

That sounds like a bent rim or separation in the tire, you will want to take this to a tire shop to have them check everything over. You can rotate the tires from from to back to verify, If you still have issues you know is steering, brake or transmission related. more than likely tire or rim issue though.

Hi there. If the engine will not crank then the starter circuit (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-starter-relay) needs to be tested to see if there is a wiring issue. If it is cranking and not starting then the computer needs to be checked with...
Most commonly when the car stalls while driving, but starts right up after, the cause is an intermittently failing crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor. The first step to diagnosing this problem however, would be to scan the engine...
Hi, thanks for writing in. Unfortunately, it sounds like your steering rack is done for, and needs to be replaced. This appears to be a wide-spread problem with this vehicle, without a recall or customer satisfaction program from BMW. If...
Hello, the whirring sound is a mechanical failure possibly created from an electrical fault. The starter solenoid controls power to and starter and moves a starter drive assembly into a ring gear (flex Plate). It is two gears that...
Hi Alex....yes, that sensor could be a possibility but there are other components in the circuit as well such as relays (that can stick on) and, although not as likely, there are possible wiring faults that can cause continuous power...
There are a lot of possible causes and thus the vehicle has to be road tested as one part of a vibration diagnostic (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-is-shaking-or-vibrating-inspection). If the cause is mundane (e.g., wheel imbalance, tire belt separation) the diagnostic and fix will...
As long as the a/c clutch bearing is not seized, it doesn't matter if the a/c compressor is locked up. As long as you do not turn the a/c on, this causing the clutch to engage and attempt to run...
Hi there. On older vehicles, this type of transmission replacement option was rather simple; as long as it connected to the engine's flywheel and bolts were aligned. However, with new sensors and electrical harnesses, it becomes more difficult to complete...
The only way to fix this issue is to go through the test protocol (diagnostic decision tree) in the Hyundai factory service manual. In particular, for this code (P1723) the circuit to and from the module has to be tested...
