Hello and welcome to JustAnswer, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I have over 22 years of experience in this field. I'm so sorry for your inconvenience and hopefully, I can help. Your vehicle needs to be scanned so we can properly diagnose the problem. It can be from a number of sensors that are acting up or just a coil pack or spark plugs.

Yes if the fuel pressure is low you are correct the vehicle will have lost power and when you press the accelerator the vehicle will stall. To confirm this, you do need to get the vehicle scanned to retrieved the vehicles trouble codes memory, because this is one of many thing that can cause the same problem.

It sounds like is related to the same fuel issue, but like I said we can guess all we want, retrieving the codes is better. You can try pulling the spark plugs out and checking their condition.

You can check the pressure from the pump if you have a scanner, if you don't I would replace the filter first.

The pump is in the tank and it has a strainer. But there should be an external fuel filter as well.
