How should pregnant women wear seat belts?

Wearing a seat belt is a practice that everyone in the vehicle should follow. It is even a law in most states. The seat belt should fit snugly across the lap and shoulder, even on pregnant women. Pregnant women should wear seat belts by.

  1. The lap belt portion should fit snugly across the lap, underneath the belly.

  2. The shoulder belt portion should fit across the shoulder, across the middle of the chest.

  3. Never tighten the belt to the point that it is uncomfortable.
