Turn signal stopped returning

My names Tony. And I wasn't sure if the clock spring was the issue or if it was an internal issue with the signal itself

Hi Tony, nice to meet you. If the clock spring is broken then that would cause this problem. We would have to do some testing but we can't do that with the clock spring broken so you'll have to change that first.

Even after the clock spring broke it was working. It broke after I got into an accident and the steering wheel was free spinning. I installed a new steering wheel and wired the horn for safety reasons when I got it back and after installing the new wheel is when it stopped returning

What do you mean by free spinning?

I hit a curb and had broke the steering rack along with a list of other things. So without the connection to the rack the column had nothing to grab onto to allow for the stopping points on the wheel. I know now that excessive free spinning can pull the ribbon wire in there and ultimately break the clock spring. But even after it was repaired (with the exception of the clock spring) the signals returned to the neutral position after turns. After I put on the aftermarket wheel is when it stopped

The EPS module will need to be scanned to see where the problem is. The steering angle sensor is also part of the clock spring. Without a steering angle feedback, it won't cancel the turn signals.
