- With the car off, are you able to shift into and out of each gear?
- When started while in 1st or reverse with the clutch pressed. Does the vehicle try to move?

whether the car is on or off it's suntimes extremely hard to get in or out of gear and other times it shifts as normal. and while it's on it does seem like it like lunges forward almost on its own

Thanks for those details.
I believe you need to have the clutch system checked out to see if there is a hydraulic pressure issue or air in the system concern affecting the slave cylinder's ability to fully apply and release the pressure plate against the clutch. I also recommend you have the shift linkage inspected to see if that is affecting the shifter's ability to move the shift mechanism in the transaxle correct.
Thank you for visiting Just Answer, I hope I was able to answer your question. If you need to follow up on this concern please use the reply button. If you like my answer please reply so I can mark your question complete. Moose
