my 1995 lexus sc400 is having some issues. i just got it back from aamco for a rebuild on the transmission. when i got it back the speedometer will periodically stop working and will occasionally wiggle and shake. at highway speeds it will be erratic and flop around. the transmission shifts hard into overdrive and sometimes coming from a complete stop it feels like it’s bogging out and not wanting to go. it’s like it doesn’t know when to shift.

You definitely need to bring it back to them. Either there is some electrical plugs loose or there is a problem with the rebuild that they did. You will have to get it checked out so they can fix it. This should be under warranty and I would bring it back to them ASAP.

Usually the radiator (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/radiator-replacement) and water pump (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/water-pump-replacement) are the culprits with symptoms like this. The condenser sits in front of the radiator and it gets hot when the A/C is on. Like the radiator, it relies on air flow...
There are several reasons that this could happen. A system voltage dip or spike can cause all of these systems to illuminate their indicators or a fault that compromises the drivability of the engine such a mass airflow (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/mass-airflow-sensor-replacement) or...
Hi there. The vibration and noise upon acceleration could possibly be an inner CV wobble, as the result of excessive play in the inner CV joint (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/axle-cv-shaft-assembly-replacement). A broken subframe may have caused the wear. Replacing the subframe and having...
A car battery (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/battery-replacement) can appear to be 100% "charged" and still be essentially useless. The only way to determine the viability of a "used" battery is to perform a load test on the battery at a professional battery shop...
The fuel float in the fuel tank has nothing to do at all with the transmission and would not have any impact on the transmission slipping problem you describe. Transmission slippage occurs generally when the transmission is low on fluid...
Hi there. Thanks for contacting us today. First thing I'd recommend is to call a towing service to have them bring your car home; if you already haven't done so as I believe your issue with the Sebring is mechanical...
