Does it crank faster or slower than normal? Are there any fluids leaking under the engine?

Slower and no leaking fluids, my husband didn't get the oil changed very an extremely long time and just had it changed finally a few days ago. They said it was like sludge, idk if that helps to know lol

Unfortunately it sounds like catastrophic engine failure. Do you know where the engine oil dipstick is so you can check the oil level?

I would expect it to look dirty if it was coming out as sludge when you changed the oil. Did you ever have an oil pressure warning come on the dashboard? I wonder if the sludge clogged your oil pick up tube going to the oil pump. Did the place that changed your oil recommend a flush or at least an additional oil change since it was so bad?

I'm not sure how mechanically inclined you or your husband are but this is going to require some tear down to determine what exactly failed and what the repair options are. I know that engine has had issues and I think they warranty it to 100,000 miles. Sometimes the dealership will extend goodwill on repairs outside of warranty if you have be using them for service.

I think I'll have it towed to the dealership but I have little faith they will do anything. Thanks a lot for your help!
