Q: I need a part identified
I need help identifying the part in my car, i can't find out what it is... please help link is here: https://imgur.com/a/O9Axb
My car has 156000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
The part in the picture looks like it is the PIP sensor also called cam sensor. The sensor is located in the top of the engine in front of intake manifold and is used to provide a cam signal to get the ignition module to spark. If it does not work then you may not have ignition spark and engine would not start.
