Just bought used civic today, started good drove it back to the barracks on base and now the car everytime I open a door and try to start it sets off the car alarm It's super loud
Mechanic's Assistant: Have you tried locking and unlocking the driver's side door using the key itself?
Yes It still sets it off
Mechanic's Assistant: What year is your Civic?
1993
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Civic yourself? What have you tried so far?
So far I changed the terminal cases, the ones of the previous owner were kinda loose, I replaced them, then the car started fine, but the alarm went off
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
The oil is good, no corroded terminal clamps, lights are bright and fine

Disconnect the battery. Leaving it disconnected, open the driver's door and leave it open. Turn the ignition on and leave it on. Reconnect the battery. The alarm should be reset. Start the vehicle having not turned the ignition off.
