I don't currently have good cell reception to make a phone call but another mechanic will pick up the call, if they're able to help.
Still not sure what you need?
Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
It sounds like you may have overheated the engine or a head and intake gasket blew out. This would account for the white smoke from the tail pipe. The loss of brakes was most likely due to the engine's loss...
Hi there, thanks for writing in about your 2006 Chevrolet Impala. I would first start by making sure the transmission fluid level (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-fluid-service) is correct. Also, there is a solenoid that is activated to allow the car to go into...
Hello there, many faults will cause the wrench light to be seen in your 2010 Ford F-150. When the throttle body was cleaned (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/clean-throttle-body) if too much cleaner gets on the throttle body sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/throttle-position-sensor-replacement) or into the throttle motor,...
You will need to have the fuel pressure checked with a gauge when the vehicle is first started to see if there is pressure at the injectors or the pressure drops off after key is off. This is an indication...
Hello - I believe the shifter cable (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-long-does-a-shift-selector-cable-last) itself may be worn enough to prevent Reverse engagement. Given that you can manually engage Reverse at the transmission, and have replaced the bushings, adjustment or wear would be the limiting issue...
If you mean that everything is non-functional, as if you switched the ignition off, then there is most likely an electrical issue. If absolutely nothing comes on (lights, radio) when you switch the ignition on, the ignition switch may be...
Hi there. You will have to swap the engine and transmission as a unit with the computer and harness to the other vehicle. There will be a need to fabricate engine mounts if the old mounts will not mount up...
Hello. From what you are explaining it sounds like the transmission is failing. If the fluid was that low then that can cause damage to the transmission. I would have the car checked out by a transmission specialist.
Did you change the transmission filter? If the filter is blocked, that can degrade hydraulic pressure and cause these symptoms. Another cause is malfunctions in electronic controls including the throttle position sensor. The shift solenoids, and shift valving (in the...
