Hello,
Welcome to Just Answer
My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I've been an automotive engineer since 1996 and together we're going to solve this issue.
to have the car in limp home like this then there should be a locked in fault code
if you can read this off and let me know what code it is then this will help narrow down the reason
now if there's no code then this sounds like a lack of fuel and could be a lack of fuel pressure from the electrical pump at the tank.
1st thing to try is to remove the fuel filler cap and then flick the ignition on whilst listening for the brief ‘buzz’ of the pump
If the connections to the pump are corroded or damaged, then the pump could stop at any time or could not be running at full speed. Check that its relay switches in and out and the relay contacts are clean and bright – replace the relay if in any doubt and do the same for the fuse,
Ideally measure the pressure at the injector rail (should usually be around 3Bar / 45psi +) and if this is low check the pump as described and consider changing the fuel filter as if this partially blocked this too will reduce pressure.
You can also get this issue with contaminated fuel , if there’s water or dirt in the tank then either the petrol floats on top of the water or the filter sock on the pump is choked up – so if the other things check out then I’d consider pulling out the [fuel pump](/topics-fuel-pump-honda/) and cleaning the filter sock
And one other thing to try is to loosen off the fuel filler cap, as there’s a 1 way valve built into the cap to let air into the tank and so prevent too great a vacuum from being created as the fuel leaves the tank to the engine
If this helps, then replace the cap with a new item

P2185 p0354 p2238 p0141 p0113 p0102 p0108 p0118 p0134 that is the codes from the OBD2 scanner I haveAlso it has no throttle response epoxy floor it it will go to 2200 RPMs and that's as far as it'll go

OK P2185 = faulty coolant temp sensor
P0354 = ign coil fualt
P2238 = [O2 sensor](/topics-o2-sensor-honda/) circuit short
and many others there
to have all these codes and such a variety usually means there's a lack of battery voltage to the ECU
so I'd say to use a meter on the battery and check that you have at least 12V with the ignition on and then measure the voltage again during cranking and then once more with the engine running
the cranking voltage shouldn't drop below 10V if it does then its possible the battery needs replacing
and the engine running voltage should be greater than the 12V you measured in the 1st place and should climb to about 13.8 v
if this last one isn't true then the alternator is possibly faulty or its not being switched on by the ECM
so if the battery checks out I'd next check that the engine ground wires ( the large wires between engine, battery and chassis) are all tightly connected and corrosion free
If where the wire is bolted to the chassis is rusty then replace the bolt and use a thread cutting tap to run down the captive nut on the body to clean out the threads
Still not sure what you need?
