Good afternoon
Usually when your check engine light is flashing there is something actively going wrong like it currently has a bad miss.
I would get the codes checked , you probably need new spark plugs or wires or a coil pack

By doing this you'll be able to see if the engine camshaft variable valve timing actuator is working as intended. Make sure the oil...
Hi There, It sounds like you may have a faulty coolant temperature sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/coolant-temperature-switch-sensor-replacement). This sensor relays the temperature of the coolant back to the ECM which uses this information to control many things such as when to turn the...
Hello - if this loss of performance (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/my-car-lacks-power-the-acceleration-doesn-t-seem-to-be-there-and-there-has-been-a-few-times-where-my-car-had-trouble-starting-by-chris-t) was rather sudden (i.e. overnight or within a week or so), a failed throttle position sensor or fuel pump could be the problem. If this happened gradually, over months lets say -...

It takes a mechanic about 2 hours. The main thing you have to keep in mind is gasoline is flammable and the vapors can accumulate and explode. You have to be mindful of even your shop light, and static electricity,...
