You should have three separate cooling fan relays under the hood. I would remove one of them at a time to see if there is an improvement. Just a heads head, cooling fans will run for a bit with the engine turned off while the engine is hot. However, if the problem continues, there is an electrical issue that needs to be addressed.

If the fans are running when the temperature is not hot, disconnect the Powertrain Control Module and inspect connectors for corrosion and fix or clean and needed. If the fans stopped running with the PCM disconnected and there is no corrosion, replace the PCM. If they continue to run, inspect the relay center or corrosion or a shorted wire. Also check the wires from the relay center to the PCM for a short to ground or another wire. It has been a pleasure working with you. Keep in mind this is a “starting point”. We can always continue as needed at a later date or at any time. Feel free to run some tests and reply back for further assistance as needed. Glad I can help. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks and have a great day!

Hi, thanks for writing in. In most cases, the issue you're describing is caused by a problem with either the cruise control brake switch (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-cruise-control-brake-release-switch) (on an automatic transmission like your Durango) or the cruise control switch on the steering...
Hi, thanks for writing in. It sounds like there may be a problem in the wiring, a faulty connection, or even a control module. It is going to take some diagnostic work to determine exactly where the problem is located....
This suggests you may have intermittently firing ignition coils which may be causing occasional misfires causing the rough idle you describe. This is somewhat common as the ignition coils begin to wear out and begin to sporadically. Ignition coils are...
Have the clutch system checked to see if it is releasing the clutch so You can change gears. Look in the clutch master cylinder to see if the fluid is full or if it leaked out. If no fluid in...
Hi there - I recommend a transmission inspection (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-fluid-is-leaking-inspection) ASAP to confirm and evaluate any damage from this impact. Even if not leaking now, if something is fractured or cracked, a major fluid loss and repair could lurk around the...
Hi there - this may seem like a wild shot, but I wonder if your torque converter lock-up clutch is failing to release as you coast down, and the engine is having to fight it? I would think you would...
Hi there. There are three different types of sensors and solenoids that will cause a transmission to not shift. 1. --- Transmission Position Sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-position-sensor-switch-replacement) 2. --- Vehicle Speed Sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/speed-sensor-replacement) 3. --- Shift Solenoids (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-does-not-shift-from-park-to-drive-inspection) All three types of...
Hi there. It is always a good idea to replace all pulley's when you have a catastrophic serpentine belt "issue" as you've described. In most cases, the force of the belt breaking will cause a slight warp of one of...
