Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the battery, particularly the terminal connections? Are they corroded?
No they are all fine I'm thinking there is security setting or something that has been engaged, the lights work, the locks all work
Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model/year of your transmissions?
2012 ford mustang
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
I have tried locking and unlocking. opening the door and hood, I've googled everything and can't find anything since it is a standard
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
It was just installed this past weekend, drove it to a tire shop, drove it home yesterday, drove it to work today, used the autostart this morning and when I left work, I came back to work, shut the car off, went to put in auto ready but messed it up, waited a bit, tried to just start it with the key and nothing

I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem. I know this can be frustrating.
Without knowing all of the information like the vehicle history, the components that have been tested or replaced, and the results of any tests that need to be run, I can only give you a general answer to your question.
I recommend to try locking and unlocking the doors with the key or remote to see if the [engine](/topics-engine-ford/) then starts and runs as it should. This will usually take the security system out of any lockout mode it may be in to resolve this problem. If this does not resolve the issue then this may not be an auto-start fault. This can be an issue with one of the vehicle's security components or a fault with one of the engine components acting up.
In order to determine which component is at fault what needs to be done is to have a fully compatible scan tool plugged into your vehicle's data port that can read all of the computers in your vehicle to see if any fault codes are stored with this issue. Once this has been done, any codes that come up can then be diagnosed to help pinpoint and repair this issue. This will require the use of a high-end scan tool that can read all of your vehicle's computers.
If you do not have a scan tool to check the fault codes yourself a shop or dealer can check the fault codes as well as diagnose the issue for about a 1-hour labor charge ( around $100 ). The cost to repair the problem varies as it depends on which component has failed that requires repair or replacement.
