Has this ever happened before? 80000, slowly noticed after a period of a month, thought it was my imagination, but then had to throttle more to get away from stationary traffic, then I stopped in a garage left the handbrake off and it wouldn’t move! Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Transit Connect yourself? What have you tried so far? So I have replaced brake hoses, and had all the calipers professional referred and replaced all the pads( they all were completely gone with around 3mm left! Would of shown on next mot no doubt! It was troublesome to push position back on the front calipers, that’s what led me to believe the calipers were shot. Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? That’s about where I’m up to now... brake fluid had also been replaced, only items left is the abs pump and master cylinder!

Howdy from Tennessee, I'm Chris aka Moose. Who am I helping today? I'm glad you've come here to get help. I will do my best to get the answer you are looking for. I help many customers, so sometimes my replies are delayed, I will respond once available. I try to be online at 1-5 pm and 10 pm-5 am every day. Drive the vehicle till the issue occurs, then get the vehicle into the air. If you find a wheel that cannot spin, then open that bleeder. If the wheel can still not spin then your wheel is locked up mechanically from a caliper piston issue. If loosening the caliper helps, then bleed that wheel and retest. IF they lock up again then loosen the nuts to pull the master cylinder away from the booster. If the brake release then it's the booster. If they stay applied then crack open the lines at the master. If that releases the wheels then its the master cylinder faulty. If they remain locked then it's a faulty ABS HCU. Thank you for seeking us for help, I hope I provided what was needed.
