Advanced service track notification pops up while driving my Ford Edge 2011
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Edge yourself? What have you tried so far?
I do not know how to fix the issue myself but I suspect the issue is a sensor of some kind and my wheel turning seems a little too easy
Mechanic's Assistant: Do you have [power steering](/topics-power-steering/)? Have you checked the power steering fluid?
How can I check? I'm kinda new to this
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
That's it.

My wheel seems to turn a bit too easy and I suspect it's a sensor issue as well. Alright.

Thank you for holding!
The issue that you have described is the vehicle stability control computer detecting a fault with one of the vehicle steering, [suspension](/topics-suspension-ford/), or drive system components. Since the steering is easy to turn now with this issue this very well could be a steering angle sensor fault in the steering column as that can be a common component to fail which will cause this issue to where it has to be replaced. If this sensor is faulty this in some cases can cost over $300 to have it replaced.
Since there are other components that can cause this issue and to verify that the angle sensor is the faulty component what needs to be done is to have a fully compatible scan tool plugged into your vehicle's data port that can read all of the computers in your vehicle to see if any fault codes are stored with this issue. Once this has been done, any codes that come up can then be diagnosed to help pinpoint and repair this issue. This will require the use of a high-end scan tool that can read all of your vehicle's computers.
If you do not have a scan tool to check the fault codes yourself a shop or dealer can check the fault codes as well as diagnose the issue for about a 1-hour labor charge ( around $100 ). The cost to repair the problem varies as it depends on which component has failed that requires repair or replacement.
