Okay I replaced water pump on my 2008 2.7 dodge charger and now I can't turn my cam 180 degrees. I put my timing chain on wrong and don't know how to fix it
Mechanic's Assistant: Has the vehicle ever overheated? And when was it last serviced?
Yes it over heated but it still drove fine.
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Charger yourself? What have you tried so far?
I've never put a timing chain in my life so I don't think I did it correctly
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
No except I am not a mechanic

Do you have install repair instructions? I can send them shortly if need. Did you start engine or try to?

This engine is an "Interference" engine meaning, if chain on wrong or breaks when running? the pistons will hit valves and bend them. You did not crank it so good there, In order to move cams etc? you will have to turn the crank some... then cam ...then crank... then cam, The camp /valves is hitting the piston. Hard to explain.I have attached a file link to your page with install instructions. If using a phone? you may have to open the file from your email. Its a .pdf file , the only way for me to send, It will show how to install the chain
I hope this has helped. I do the best I can working remotely. If you have any followup to this question? I am on/off each day and will reply as soon as I am back online. Otherwise. nice speaking with you and hope you have a wonderful day
