Got a P0128 code on my 2014 Durango. No problem, I’ll just replace the thermostat. All of a sudden noticed a small coolant leak under bottom driver side of radiator, bright green. Checked coolant reservoir and it’s full of orange coolant. What’s going on? How many cooling fluids do I have, and am I still looking at just a thermostat? Mechanic's Assistant: How old are the hoses? And just to clarify, can you actually see the leak? Hoses may be original but are still pliable and no where near the leak. I’m not actually seeing a leak. It’s just pooling under the driver side bottom mount. The hoses are passenger side. Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Durango yourself? What have you tried so far? Not at the moment. Wife just called today with the leak report. Ran it to auto parts to run diagnostic. Points to thermostat which is easy to get to, but if it’s beyond that, I’ll probably take it in somewhere. Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Just explanation for different colors of coolant and if it’s serious. Thanks.
