Mechanic's Assistant: How old are the hoses? And what driving conditions do you most often encounter?
I live in Hawaii so no extreme weather conditions its a 2006 dodge caravan, hoses have never been replaced
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Caravan yourself? What have you tried so far?
I have replaced the evaporator because it wasn’t working, and I replaced the expansion valve
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
I forgot to put the orings in when I replaced the expansion valve.

Hello, if the orings are missing, the green dye in the freon is what you see leaking out of the expansion valve. You will need to replace the seals and evacuate and recharge the ac system.

No, the system must be evacuated or it will not blow cold air.

Ok thank you. I also have another question. Yesterday, my car wouldn't start, so I tried resetting the fuses and then it started fine. Today, It turned on and then turned off a few seconds later. I would love to know why
