My cars coolant temp, goes up a little past the half way point it's past the half line only when I'm in traffic, it going 1 or 2 lines past the half way point but it's cools down to the half way point when speeding up only by red ...

I understand it can be really frustrating when your auto is not working an expected but don't worry as I am here to help! I may need further information, however, if required I will let you know! Sorry to hear your having issues with your vehicle I will try to assist you. Looking at the information you have provided It seems that is normal as when you are stationary there is no passing wind through the radiator to cool the cooling system but only the cooling fan to keep the cooling system at the correct temperature if the temp gauge rises and then you hear the fan come on that is normal as it will come on and off to keep the cooling system and engine at the correct operating temperature. as long as the temperature gauge does not go near the red it should be fine and just keep an eye on your cooling system level and check it when it is cold.

Yes as long as it dose not go much past the third line near to the H then it is normal.

No you only need to worry if it goes near the H and a waring light should come on if it gets that hot.

It will need checking with a diagnostic scanner tool as there will be stored fault codes in the control module try get the fault codes and I can help further.

I would first get a diagnostic check done on the vehicles control modules as there should be fault codes stored in the control module related to the symptoms or warning lightd you are getting once you have obtained the fault codes it will point you in the right direction on were to start looking first
