Thanks for using JustAnswer.com! My name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I'll try to answer your car questions. I'll start off with some basic checks to do, then we can get into more advanced diagnostics if needed. Let me know if any questions come up, or if there is anything I can do to help! You can update this message at anytime.
- I'm sorry to hear about any troubles with the vehicle, but would be glad to try and help!
- It does happen sometimes to get a bad sensor out of the box, check engine RPM signal on scan tool, and see if any trouble codes are setting in any of the modules, if not seeing spark. Double check terminal tension of the crank sensor connector, tighten or replace any spread terminals. If seeing good input from crank sensor, but no spark, double check wiring from engine computer to ignition system and be sure full power is present at [ignition coil](/topics-ignition-coil-dodge/).
- Lemme know if seeing any codes, or if any questions come up while checking things out!

Check crank sensor connection all good, no codes. Cranked engine for approximately 1 min. And checked codes, none.It ran and started right up but would back fire and miss, was told to replace crank sensor so I did . And now I turn on key hear fuel pump prime up, all light work right . No spark, no start.

Ya, sounds like issue with the new sensor, at this time. Do you still have the original sensor to swap back in and see if engine will start? If engine was missing/backfiring before, there may be a compression or timing issue going on, that could be preventing starting, but if not seeing spark just since the sensor replacement, would suspect faulty or incorrect sensor installed. Lemme know what youre seeing, or if any questions come up while checking things out!

Have a certified mobile mechanic diagnose what's wrong with your car, at your home or office.
The vehicle may have more than one problem causing this problem. These problems were from things like the coolant sensor giving false readings, engine control modules failing, throttle position sensors failing and the mass air flow sensors failing. All of...
A common issue would be a sticking hydraulic lifter which can end up with enough of a gap between the top of the lifter and the push rod that the push rod can get sideways and end up bent. Another...
The most likely cause of this issue would be a short to ground somewhere in the interior lighting system. If a wire has too much metal exposed and it is coming in contact with the vehicle's chassis, excess amperage is...
I would recommend trying to use the unlock switch on your keyfob or door panel. If this does not work, I would recommend inserting your key into the liftgate and turn it to the unlock position. If this does not...
Hi. This sounds like the ignition switch has a problem and is not allowing the car to go into park. If the ignition switch is not sending the signal to the neutral safety switch that the key is in the...
Generally, Ford recommends that the transmission fluid be changed every 30,000 miles, however this is a bit conservative and many transmissions can go much longer in between fluid changes. This is a very heavily debated topic and depends largely on...
This may not be a problem with the vehicle at all but a problem of running in deep water. The belt started to slip when the water got on the bottom pulley. The engine and belt is not designed to...

Smoke is worrisome as electrical faults do cause fires. Seems like you had smoke only so you are lucky. Obviously, don't put back a higher capacity (that is, "incorrect") fuse as such will allow too much current to flow on...
