Okay, if it did not overheat, then it is possible this may be a failed cam or crank sensor, fuel pump, or other issue. When you turn the key to the ON position, can you hear the fuel pump in the tank come on for a few seconds and then turn off??Chris

Have someone turn the key to the on (not start) position while someone else places their ear near the fuel tank under the rear of the vehicle. There should be a soft whirring sound from the tank for a few seconds.Chris

Absolutely. I will keep an eye out for your reply. Another thing you may want to do is to get a scan tool connected to the data link connector under the dash and check for any diagnostic trouble codes.Chris
