Hello, my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* thank you for using just answer. The site will prompt a phone call, but that is not always necessary. If it is necessary later in the conversation, I will propose it. I am sorry you are having this concern, but I will do my best to assist you.
Failed gaskets and seals in higher mileage vehicles is pretty normal. If you want to pinpoint a leak, the best way is to add dye to the [engine](/topics-engine-chevy/), and then use a blacklight with yellow glasses to pinpoint. If there is a lot of oil and dirt accumulation, it should be cleaned off first, and then re-checked. Hope this helps, thank you.

Take it back to whoever did that work--they did a crappy job. There are so many things that can go wrong. When you are changing all that stuff and replacing the timing belt off, odds are that the timing belt...
Yes, a possibility is the timing belt (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/timing-belt-replacement) has failed. However, it is also possible (and greatly preferred) that the gear driving the distributor has sheared off. Your engine is "probably" in that class of engines known as "interference engines"...
Check the bulb contacts, front and rear, and just make sure there is no obvious corrosion. Check the headlight harness connection to the headlight bulbs as well. From what you are describing, there is some sort of short or voltage...
Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle could be hesitating for several different reasons. The first thing to check would be the air intake system. This would include the air filter and air intake sensors. The sensors are best...
If the oil pressure warning light has come on, the very first thing to do is make sure the cause is not a malfunction in the warning light circuit or oil pressure sensor. The circuit can be tested and the...
Hi there. Typically, ATF or automatic transmission fluid is a dark red color, while engine oil tends to start light brown and gets darker as it ages. If the leak is coming from the center of the motor, it could...
Hi Donna. Thanks for contacting us today. Problems like you've described can be very difficult to diagnose, as they come and go as you've indicated. Usually they are caused by fuel system restriction or problems mixing fuel and air. Some...
